What could I do? I couldn't turn her away, she was in so much pain and that crying thing....dam I'm a sucker for people crying!

So I was to be the Samaritan: She arrived a few minutes past ten in the morning holding her arm and crying....she told me that she was playing hide and seek with the children and had fallen on a chair. She asked for my help!

She reeked of booze and looked a mess and I couldn't help but see how she looked like a child herself, where was her father. I immediately told her to calm down and got my car keys. I asked her if she had been drinking and she said it had been the night before....she was still really pissed!

I took her and the children to the doctors where after about a 40 minute wait they saw her and confirmed that she had broken her arm and she needed to go to hospital.......

Now I had to take her to the hospital as well, so I drove the 20 miles to the hospital and got there in about thirty minutes because of traffic.....Now came the real wait, during that time I looked after her children. When they eventually saw her we had been there for a number of hours.

The children don't get much interaction which is a shame...I get the impression that there mum spends most of her time pissed and addicted to prescription drugs, she is a single parent and I know her through my children. The Doctor came out and asked me some questions where I could only tell him she was a friend and I didn't know what had happened. He looked at me as if I was shit on his shoe and didn't believe me....God I'm old enough to be her father you fool, I thought!

He said that she had broken her arm and elbow and that it was quite serious....they put it in plaster and told her that she had to go to the fracture clinic the next day....when she came out I probed her for more information about her little accident and I don't feel that it was done by her boyfriend

They gave her more drugs Codine I think, and told her to rest. I drove her back to my house and invited her in however she promptly left to go back to her flat with her children. She did say thanks and when she left, I could only wonder what would become of the children.... they need love and proper interaction. I guess some people are not fit to be parents!
